The name chosen for this site is taken from the nickname for a couple of famous economists. The first from the early 20th century and the second from this century.
Why did I choose the title? During my working life I have been silent with my views of different economic theories, their application to the real world, but instead have been busy teaching the next generation economic theory so that they could make their own minds up about how to organize the scarce resources that we possess in a way that will increase everybody’s welfare.
Economics is a wonderful subject in that it helps us to explain the world in which we live and the decisions that we take each day. Through these pages I hope that you will get a better understanding of what is going on in the world.
